base_dir option

I have a question about the option "base_dir" in /etc/videocache.conf.
When you specify more than one, do they work as backup of each other, or split the load?
Also how many dirs can I put there?
Thanks.

Hello,

Videocache uses all directories mentioned using base_dir. You can specify any number of directories using base_dir.

Thank You!

hello
I would like to separate the cached videos on different hard drives (my hard drive is small capacity), ejm:
youtube --- hard disk 1
youporn --- hard disk 2
all other --- hard disk 3

as I set it?, or that is recommended.

Greetings
Ruben

Hi Ruben,

It's not possible to put different websites' videos on different partitions as of now. But you can utilitze all your hard disks using base_dir option.

Thank You!
