The problem is that when watch the same video (youtube) it says "The video is no longer available" and in my logs I see the following over and over .. any ideas??

Looks like it's doing it for all sites now .. i tested with redtube and after the video is cached it will not play anymore and I get a forwarding loop error in my logs

==> /var/log/squid3/cache.log <==

Hi Anon, Jamie,

Have you set your cache_host option correctly? Are you using some kind of forwarding for your http traffic on proxy?

Are you able to browse http:///videocache/ and subdirectories there?

Providing more details would help.

Thank You!

I have 2 IP's on my machine because my cache listens on port 80. So 66.78.99.27 is my apache and 66.78.99.29 is my squid

both listen on port 80

I can browse correctly to my URL/videocache and watch the files that have downloaded ...

but when I try from the video's website I just get a forwarding loop error.

Jamie,

Set cache_host to the IP which you are using for Apache. I mean 66.78.99.27. That should solve your problem.

Thank You!

Hi Anon,

I couldn't really get your question. But if you are looking for videocache logfiles, they are in /var/log/videocache/.

Thank You!
