youtube.com/v/video_id and youtube.com/v/v/video_id

Hello!

Many of my users are using URLs like:

youtube.com/v/video_id
youtube.com/v/v/video_id

These URLS show the video at full screen and the video is downloaded from googlevideo.com cache as usual.

videocache doesn't cache the video when using these URL.

Example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mG_vXNvrfiU
http://www.youtube.com/v/mG_vXNvrfiU
http://www.youtube.com/v/v/mG_vXNvrfiU

Josep,

I have tested the video links on my setup and videocache is caching videos coming from all those links. I have caching from googlevideo.com servers enabled.

Thank You!

Kulbir,

I don't use googlevideo.com caching, because this produces temporary id video caching.

Thanks for your answer.

Josep,

It seems you need to fine grained the regex for not using googlevideo.com caching. temp video id must be different from permanent id in some sense.

Thank You!

Hello!

No problem for /v/ and /v/v/ ...

They are used to "present" the videos at webpages. Example:

http://visual-off-art.blogspot.com/

My question/problem was a false question/problem.

I'm sorry!

Josep,

No problem. Don't worry :)
