What VideoCache is capable of?
- Caches videos from Dailymotion, Metacafe, Vimeo and 23 other websites.
- Caches Android apps from Google Play Store.
- YouTube for mobile (iOS/Android) supported.
- Works with Squid in transparent/intercept mode so that your clients don't need to change any browser settings.
- Works with Squid 2.x and 3.x versions. Also works with Lusca cache.
- Supported on variety of Linux based operating systems on both 32bit and 64bit platforms.
- Extensively configurable to work as per your network requirements.
- Automatic storage management by purging videos which are least likely to get hits to make space for newer and more poular videos.
- Extensive logging to understand what VideoCache is doing.
What VideoCache can't do?
- No support for HTTPS (secure HTTP) caching.
- No support for P2P (torrents etc.) caching.
- No support for live streaming content.
