problem with squid when install videocache

Dear All,
I have probelm when I install squid and test it without video cache it works fine ,but after i install the setup.py and make change in squid.conf and make restat to apache2 and then to squid
i have this message
restart: Unknown instance
when i check the status of squid
squid stop
my OS is ubuntu 11.04 server and I'm new in liunx
Can anyone guide me.

Hi,

Did you change the videocache_user option in /etc/videocache.conf? Please set it to proxy for ubuntu. Then restart Squid. It should work. If it still doesn't work, please check videocache.log and trace.log in /var/log/videocache/ and report to here.

I am using CacheVideo 1.9.9 with Squid 3.1.14. I am facing alot of problems. First when I copied the the URL redirect lines into squid.conf file, squid is not properly running.

Secondly when I did changes in videocache.conf I am not able to run vc-scheduler to restart the services.

here is the error when run vc-scheduler,

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/sbin/vc-scheduler", line 11, in <module>
    from common import *
ImportError: No module named common

Third, could you pleas provide me specific link or documented configuration so I can successful run CacheVideo with Squid.
