YouTube and apache 1.9.4
by jamso on 6 May 2010 hi since we upgraded to 1.9.4 we have facing same problem although we reinstalled fedora again but still same problem. caching of youtube videos are listed in the directory youtube while you go to http://severname/videocache/youtube files are not listed. this is causing the tail -f /var/log/videocache/videocache.log to show the file is being served from the cache while it is not it still using real bandwidth. we think the problem is with the httpd extensions . pls advice1 Answers
Double Bandwith
by till79 on 3 May 2010 Hi I have some strange Peaks in my servers bandwith usage: when a user starts watching a youtube-video the input bandwith from ISP is twice high than the output bandwith to user. It seems that users browser bypassing videocache and loads directly (but through videocache). Videocache starts an own download too and stores the video in his cache. by kingliub on 7 Apr 2010 I have request 4 videos on youtube, it seems that videocache didn`t start downloading as soon as the video scheduled for download, but after several minutes or more. while other sites goes well, I tried metacafe, it starts downloading the moment it scheduled.
